OUR LEADERSHIP
Ivette House, a proud first-generation college graduate and the youngest of nine children, was born and raised in East Los Angeles, California. She made her way north in 2001 to attend the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in rhetoric, specializing in public discourse. Fueled by her passion for uplifting others, Ivette continued her studies at California State University, East Bay, where she obtained a master’s degree in public administration and organizational management.
For over 20 years, Ivette has devoted her career to the nonprofit sector, with a focus on college access and success. Her deep understanding of the challenges faced by first-generation students and underrepresented communities has shaped her work and advocacy. Ivette’s personal journey has granted her an intimate perspective on the barriers and opportunities that define the college-to-career pathway.
Today, Ivette leads House Consulting Services, a company she founded with a mission to elevate first-generation professionals and empower the institutions that serve them. Through transformative professional development, capacity-building services, and youth initiatives, Ivette and her team are committed to fostering leadership, resilience, and inclusivity. By partnering with nonprofits, schools, and businesses, House Consulting Services works to create sustainable growth and ensure that individuals from diverse backgrounds have the support and tools to thrive in their careers and communities.
With her unwavering commitment to creating pathways to success for the next generation of leaders, Ivette House continues to inspire and lead with a vision of equity and empowerment for all.
